  • Can you connect to a remote database?

    Yes. You can enter the REMOTEHOST, USERNAME and PASSWORD on the connection dialog to manage a database on a remote machine. (You can also specify a port other than 3306 to connect through)

    If you can not enter details in the connection dialog, please edit the options.cfm file in the settings folder.

  • I can not get the application to connect. I get a connection failure message.

    Open the Options.cfm file and check the connection string is the string used for your copy of MySQL.

    The default value is : MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver


  • I get an error regarding a deprecated CONNECTSTRING Attribute!

    Please update your copy of CFMyAdmin from our downloads page.

  • Will CFMyAdmin work with ColdFusion on Linux?

    Yes. From Version 1 Beta 3 (Uploaded : 19/04/2004) you can use CFMyAdmin on Linux.

    We have tested CFMyAdmin on Redhat 9.0 with ColdFusion MX 6.1
