This is due to the connection string used on CF5.
You can do 2 things to fix this:
- Edit the connection string in Settings/options.cfm to point to your MySQL Versions compatible string
- Download the latest MySQL Driver from : http://www.mysql.com/get/Downloads/MyODBC3/MyODBC-3.51.06.exe/from/pick
